Arab Health 2023
Arab Health 2023 saw record breaking numbers, where over 63,000 visitors attended the congress held at the Dubai World Trade Centre between January 30th and February 2nd. Sharing the experience with 3,357 other exhibitors from 76 different countries, NephroCan was proud to be in attendance for the fourth consecutive year. In addition to displaying our full product offering in an impressive, open concept booth space, we participated in an editorial opportunity with Omnia Health Magazine for the special Arab Health issue. The article spotlighted NephroCan's dialyzers, a product offering which provides the efficient removal of waste solutes from the blood in a hemodialysis treatment. The special edition magazine was shared both digitally and in print during convention days, with a total of 6,000 total copies printed and placed in five high traffic foot areas throughout the event.

ERA-EDTA 2022
The ERA (European Renal Association) Congress was a hybrid affair, as the event took place online and live, in person, between 19-22 May. Held in Paris, ERA-EDTA (European Renal Association - European Dialysis & Transplant Association) Congress is in its 59th year and attracted almost 7,500 participants, a Twitter following of over 370,000 and 1,351 speakers across 226 sessions. This year, the congress focused on new ways research methodologies might change in the near future and why nephrology is one of the main areas of medicine that can benefit from those developments. There were 87 sponsors and exhibitors including NephroCan, where we unveiled the new NephroHDM hemodialysis machine to the European market for the first time. Designed in consultation with physicians, clinicians and nursing staff, NephroHDM uses the latest electronic technology of ARM-based processor and embedded system technology and has an innovative user interface. This provides significant operational and cost-efficiencies and streamlines staff workflow without compromising product quality or the safety and comfort of patients.

Arab Health 2022
In January, Arab Health, the Middle East’s leading medical equipment exhibition, brought together over 56,000 healthcare professionals at the Dubai World Trade Center, all looking to learn, network and source innovative new products. After a difficult few years, the event was able to bring more than 3,500 exhibitors together, including Canada’s leading manufacturer of dialysis equipment, NephroCan. The company introduced delegates to its latest innovation, the NephroHDM hemodialysis machine. Designed in consultation with physicians, clinicians and nursing staff, NephroHDM brings significant operational and cost-efficiencies and streamlines staff workflow without compromising product quality.

Asia Health 2021
In light of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, it was decided that Asia Health 2021 would again be held virtually. This year, NephroCan was a Registration Partner, in addition to exhibiting virtually. Held between 19-21 October, the trade show and congress brought together over 2,000 exhibitors and participants from 75 countries - organisations and businesses looking to share expert knowledge, promote new ideas and demonstrate almost 350 products for use throughout the ASEAN region. Supported by various local and international medical associations, this year’s congress featured more than 40 speakers and the same number of business and clinical educational sessions.

Arab Health 2021
From 21-24 June, the Dubai World Trade Center hosted Arab Health 2021, the largest exhibition in the MENA region dedicated to the latest innovations and advancements in the healthcare industry. The trade show, in its 46th year, welcomed more than 2,000 product manufacturers and service providers from 85 countries, providing the opportunity to connect with healthcare authorities and healthcare provider from the Middle-East and all over the world after what has been a difficult year for business, and particularly face-to-face events. Over the course of four days, almost 23,000 visitors from 172 countries were able to meet with the 1,700 exhibitors and over $210 million of new business deals were generated. As part of the online element, 19,699 visitors from 31 countries were able to participate, including Chile, Congo, Mauritius, Zambia, Bolivia, Costa Rica & Dominican Republic. NephroCan once again joined the medical community virtually through the hybrid attendance model.

Africa Health 2021
NephroCan once again virtually participated in the Africa Health conference, the continent’s largest healthcare event, joining 150 exhibiting medical equipment manufacturers and suppliers from 21 countries across the globe. The exhibition provided delegates with the opportunity to learn, network and engage in business conversations with the 8,500 pre-registered attendees and 4,000 online visitors - hospital procurement teams, distributors, clinicians and healthcare industry professionals. In total, over 1,800 products were exhibited and demonstrated, while 161 international speakers addressed delegates across 83 CPD accredited sessions. Digitally, the event expects to have attracted over 15,000 social media followers.

ERA-EDTA 2021
As Covid-19 continues to evolve and spread rapidly across the globe, the 58th ERA-EDTA (European Renal Association - European Dialysis & Transplant Association) Congress was a hybrid event, with speakers, chairs and delegates attending live at CityCube in Berlin, and virtually, from 115 countries around the globe. NephroCan was one of the proud sponsors of the event. During the convention, held between 5-8 June, over 5,200 delegates attended virtually to listen to 1,159 speakers share their expert opinions on current and future dialysis treatments for CKD. Over the four days, more than 21,000 live and recorded sessions were held, in excess of 2,300 people tuned into the CEPD courses and the convention attracted an audience of almost 20,000 on Twitter.

ERA-EDTA 2020
In the shadow of the global Covid-19 pandemic, members of the NephroCan team joined over 10,000 delegates at the 57th ERA-EDTA (European Renal Association - European Dialysis & Transplant Association) Congress. However, it was not with the beautiful backdrop of the Italian city of Milan, as had been planned. Instead, it was decided that the entire show would be held virtually between 6-9 January and beamed across the world. Delegates from over 110 countries across the globe were greeted online by 200 speakers in 93 live virtual sessions, alongside 350 virtual presentations. During the four-day event, the pandemic shone a spotlight on neurology and highlighted the early observations that the virus could cause serious harm to the kidneys through elevated albuminuria and creatinine levels. Therefore, the program was subject to last-minute changes to accommodate topical, up-to-date discussions as the global situation rapidly changed. These included sessions on acute kidney injury and end-stage kidney disease in severe Covid-19 cases, the particular risk to dialysis patients and the prognosis for those patients receiving transplantation therapy.

Africa Health 2020
2020 will see the first edition of Omnia Health Live Africa - Africa’s largest virtual healthcare exhibition. Between 12-16 October, NephroCan joined some of the leading medical equipment manufacturers and almost 5,500 industry leaders and brightest minds from the regional and global healthcare community. Together, we took the opportunity to share knowledge, demonstrate innovative new products and network with African hospital procurement teams, distributors, clinicians and healthcare industry professionals in a virtual space. NephroCan was also the Registration Partner for the event. The exhibition hosted 277 exhibiting companies from 35 countries, showcasing almost 3,500 products and services.

Asia Health 2020
Held virtually for the first time due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, NephroCan attended this year’s Asia Health exhibition and congress, which once again brought together participants from all over the world, seeking to answer the needs of the healthcare and medical laboratory industry during these challenging times. Taking place between 18-20 November, Asia Health provided unprecedented opportunities for professionals to network and access expert knowledge, wherever they happen to be in the world, ensuring that business goes on amidst the uncertainty. Supported by various local and international medical associations, this year’s congress consisted of 13 multi-disciplinary conferences and seminars. Medlab Asia featured core pathology tracks for laboratory professionals while Asia Health hosted clinical conferences for physicians and seminars on healthcare management, procurement and medical devices, opening doors to a new segment all together.

Arab Health 2020
Marking its first time as an exhibitor, NephroCan joined almost 85,000 healthcare and trade professionals at the 44th Arab Health Exhibition and Congress, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 28-31 January. Officially opened by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health Authority, the exhibition and congress hosted 4,130 exhibiting companies from 66 countries across the globe. The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress provided an important platform for the MENA healthcare industry – a chance for NephroCan to build relationships with international stakeholders and facilitate the exploration of new business opportunities in global healthcare. At this year’s exhibition, more than 35 hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities from both the public and private sectors took the opportunity to showcase their expertise and latest innovations, and discuss new clinical trials, including those for renal replacement therapy in intensive care.

ERA-EDTA 2019
For the first time since 1986, the ERA-EDTA (European Renal Association - European Dialysis & Transplant Association) Congress, was held in the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The 56th congress and exhibition took place at the HUNGEXPO Congress & Exhibition Centre between 13-16 June, where almost 3,000 exhibitors showcased their latest theories and technologies, including NephroCan, where we showcased our newly-certified products for the first time. With the need for renal replacement therapy rising, there was an impressive range of sessions, abstract presentations and other activities for the 9,129 delegates who travelled to attend the convention from around the world. The theme of the congress was ‘precision nephrology’ and included the potential for predicting acute kidney injury, the effects of hypertension, nephrolithiasis and how non-related drugs can have an impact on patients with CKD.

ERA-EDTA 2018
NephroCan joined 120 exhibitors and almost 10,000 other participants at the 55th ERA-EDTA (European Renal Association - European Dialysis & Transplant Association) Congress, held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark – the largest conference center in Scandinavia. The Congress, which took place from 24-27 May, is the largest annual nephrology congress in Europe, providing an ideal opportunity for the NephroCan team to meet up with known associates and develop new relationships. As usual, the event showcased the latest research and guidelines in all aspects of nephrology and covered a range of topics in the form of live lectures, plenary lectures and symposia.
